Sometimes, fate brings together those who need each other the most.

One evening, as Gowri walked by, she heard the desperate cries of a dog named Ganga. She immediately felt that destiny had led her there. She couldn’t turn a blind eye to this poor dog, cruelly tied to a pole by someone without compassion. Determined to make a difference, she chose to step in and change both their lives for the better.

Ganga was in dire need of help. She had never felt so hopeless in her life. Her previous owner had abandoned her in the worst way possible—leaving her on the street without food or water.

To make matters worse, they had tied her to a pole, leaving her unable to move at all.

For hours, Ganga called out for assistance, but people just passed by without stopping—until a kind-hearted woman named Gowri noticed her.

“She called me, she yelled for me, she waited for me to rescue her,” Gowri stated in an Instagram post.

As soon as Gowri approached, Ganga began wagging her tail, as if she knew she was finally being saved. Gowri quickly untied her and showered her with affection, which Ganga joyfully returned.

Sadly, the ordeal had affected Ganga’s health. Her skin was in bad shape and needed immediate care. Thanks to Gowri, she was safely taken to a local rescue organization for treatment—and Ganga improved remarkably!

Within weeks, she regained her glow and was ready to start a new chapter in her life. And who better to share it with than the person who rescued her?

Because of Gowri, Ganga was permanently adopted into a loving home, surrounded by people (and dogs) who truly adore her. “There was no way I was letting her get adopted by someone else. She was meant to come home with me and she did. She will never be in distress or in pain ever again,” she added.

Today, Ganga’s life is everything she ever dreamed of. She has a cozy home and two furry siblings, Meiko and Luna, with whom she gets along wonderfully.

Gowri couldn’t be more grateful for finding Ganga that day.

“It was true destiny how I found her and for her coming home to us. She’s safe, loved, happy and healthy and at home where she belongs,” her mom wrote on Instagram.

Ganga feels better than ever as she celebrates the happiest year of her life.

She gets to do all the things she missed out on before. She runs freely, plays with her housemates, takes exciting walks, and creates endless memories along the way. With Meiko and Luna, who welcomed her with open paws, Ganga has rediscovered her true self.

It turns out she’s pawsome—she just needed someone to recognize that in her. And now she has it all!
