A Purple Cat? This Rescue Cat Is Like Nothing You’ve Ever Seen!

| April 7, 2015

At the Humane Society of North Texas, there is one special cat up for adoption like nothing you’ve ever seen. Found wandering outside of a Fort Worth apartment complex, this purple-dyed calico cat was brought into the shelter by a good samaritan. Whitney Hanson, an employee of the rescue, was quoted as saying, “She was a little frustrated when she came into the shelter, but I don’t think anyone blamed her for that.”

Although workers at the rescue have been bathing this cat, which they’ve appropriately named “Fuchsia”, the dye still seems to remain on the cat’s fur. Fuchsia is estimated to be around 2 years of age, and the staff has already claimed that she is starting to come out of her shell to become one of the staff favorites.

Given her perfect for Spring time hue, it’s no wonder that this special kitty has been receiving lots of attention! “We don’t know what was used to dye her, who dyed her fur, but she’s obviously standing out a lot at the shelter,” Hanson was also quoted as saying. Luckily, the examining vet at the facility reports that Fuchsia is in good health despite the questionable dye job. Hopefully all the attention that Fuchsia is receiving will award her with a loving forever home with someone truly special!
