In Los Angeles, California, two rescuers were called to a heartbreaking scene: a pair of tiny kittens, just weeks old, had been tossed into a dumpster.
The rescue was particularly harrowing because the dumpster was deep and was filled to the brim with trash. One wrong move, and the heaps of junk could have shifted and crushed the tiny babies.
Luckily, after careful and strategic work, Armando Navarrete and Annette Ramirez of the LA Animal Rescue were able to pull the poor kittens to safety.

Thanks to the rescuers’ dedication, these two kittens will have the chance to live full and healthy lives. They are currently in foster care and will be up for adoption once they’re ready.
