“Rescue Rebuild found a unique project to do alongside worldly travelers. We cannot forget about all of the animals that have not yet found their way into a shelter or a home. We all know that the number of stray animals is far too high.

GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Rebuild program partnered with Mars Petcare to support the stray and feral. Through Mars’s Ambassador Program, employees from all across the globe traveled to Middle Tennessee to help improve the quality of life for Nashville’s community cat population.

“A local animal shelter kindly let us use their grounds to build both housing and feeding stations for feral cats. We spent a few days out on the grass in the sun creating these cat stations. The teams worked together to not only construct but also distribute these stations that will project cat colonies through the winter months.

“Smaller builds like this one allowed Rescue Rebuild to really talk to volunteers about our mission and the difference we are all making in animals’ lives, no matter how big or small the project may be. In total, we were able to build 25 community cat feeding stations and 50 insulated shelters. At the end of the build, the team distributed the units to various community cat caretakers around Nashville. They were extremely grateful, to say the least!”
