Chances are Vladimir Kitten has seen more of the United States in his single year on Earth than most American adults. That’s because Vlad is an adventure cat.

He is the kitty-son of newlyweds, Cees and Madison Hofman and they are spending their first year of marital bliss exploring all 59 US national parks in their trusty 1989 Toyota motorhome.

Vlad and his litter were abandoned by their mama cat at just 5 weeks of age, so the little white puff ball with the smudge on his head and the bubblegum nose bonded tightly to his new humans.

With the goal in mind to make their new fur-friend the “cutest, coolest, smartest, best adventure kitty out there,” the young couple began to leash and clicker train Vlad.

The adventure began on April 25, 2016 when the newly-graduated, newly-married Utah couple packed up Vlad and the RV and took to the highway.

As of January 29, the Hofmans have crossed park #44 of 59 off their list with their arrival at Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas.

The trio have visited parks in more than 20 states so far, documenting their adventures via their personal webpage and blog and on Instagram. Follow them to see more amazing photos and videos!

Note: Vlad only accompanies the Hofmans through areas of the parks that are marked safe for pets. When the terrain is too rough or dangerous, he happily takes a cat nap in the motor home instead.
