Usually for dogs, they enjoy the feeling when someone rubs their tummy..try that with a cat, you’ll end with a scratch! Cats get a defensive reaction when you brush their bellies. For them, their tummy is the most vulnerable area since that is where vital organs are located. Don’t ever think that he sees you as an enemy if you got pawed. That is just a normal reaction for a cat!
Check out this black cat who just got tamed. It looks like he enjoys being brushed. His human must have constantly got him into brushing that he likes the ticklish feeling. Look at those small paws when the brush reaches his tummy! Ohhh! He tries to resist but he just cant!
